PrizeBee Terms of Service

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Introduction

PrizeBee is a SaaS sweepstakes platform that enables Shopify merchants to run purchase-incentive sweepstakes for their customers. By installing or using PrizeBee, you ("Merchant") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the service.

Subscription & Billing

  • PrizeBee charges a base fee of $19.00 per 30 days plus $0.30 per qualifying order. Usage charges are capped at $500.00 per billing period.
  • Billing is processed via your chosen provider — Stripe or Shopify Billing — depending on your installation path. Your billing provider is selected at install time and governs how charges are collected and how cancellations are processed.
  • A qualifying order is one where: (1) the customer opted in via the cart banner checkbox; (2) the order subtotal met or exceeded your configured entry threshold; and (3) payment was captured through an online payment processor. Orders paid via manual, test, bank deposit, money order, or cash-on-delivery methods are not qualifying orders and are not billed.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your PrizeBee dashboard.
  • PrizeBee reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

How the Service Works

  • The PrizeBee cart banner is displayed to customers located in the United States only. Non-US visitors will not see the banner and will not be entered into sweepstakes.
  • Sweepstakes entries are only created after payment is successfully captured — not at the time of order placement or authorization.
  • If an order is refunded for any reason, the corresponding entry is automatically deleted.
  • PrizeBee funds and awards the sweepstakes prize. Merchants are not responsible for prize costs.
  • Entry weights are based on purchase subtotal: customers receive one entry per whole dollar spent (rounded down), with a minimum of one entry per qualifying order.

Merchant Responsibilities

  • Merchants must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local sweepstakes and promotional laws in the jurisdictions where their customers are located.
  • Merchants must provide customers with a clear link to the Official Sweepstakes Rules via the cart banner checkbox.
  • Merchants must not misrepresent PrizeBee's features, the sweepstakes prize, or the odds of winning to their customers.
  • Merchants must not run PrizeBee in jurisdictions where purchase-incentive sweepstakes are prohibited.

Acceptable Use

  • PrizeBee may only be used for legitimate sweepstakes promotions.
  • The service may not be used for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes.
  • Manipulation of entries or draw results is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination without refund.

Sweepstakes Rules

Participant-facing rules governing eligibility, entry methods, winner selection, and prizes are set out in the Official Sweepstakes Rules.

Privacy

How PrizeBee collects, stores, and processes personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

PrizeBee is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may affect availability.

Limitation of Liability

PrizeBee's total liability to any Merchant is limited to the fees paid by that Merchant in the 30 days preceding the claim. PrizeBee is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of data.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

PrizeBee may update these Terms at any time. Active subscribers will be notified by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
